40 Day Daily Practice

Let’s honour the Fiscal year’s turning and ask ourselves, “What am I longing for in my body, mind, spirit and life circumstances?”

For me, the answer is almost always strength, clarity, and sustainability in my daily life and beyond. My daily practice— reminds me of my deepest longing and calls my attention back to that which sustains me. 

Through committing to home practice, we honour ourself, the inward path to deeper inner connection and begin to live our practice. We show up for the ups and downs of life and find the center point. This is the commitment it takes to begin to turn our drishti (gaze) inward and see things as they are and not only through our lens of conditioning. 

It takes 40 days to make something a habit, and so over 40 days we will devote ourselves, in the context of virtual community, to daily practice. We’ll commit to sitting in the fire of practice to learn from, play with, struggle against, and deeply immerse in practice.

This 40 day practice will be structured in four segments, to help sustain our focus and build the tools for a self-reflective home practice. 

  • Setting up a Sacred Space/ Meditation
  • Physical Movement/ creative play
  • Self-reflection
  • Nutrition and recipes

So, here it is: I’m committing to 40 days of practice in July and August. I invite you will join me and the community, to return again and again to enjoy this practice.
